Apple Oat Bread (machine) – Large Loaf

Ingrients & Directions


3/4 c Water
2 c White bread flour
1 c Wheat bread flour
1 tb Dry milk
1 1/2 ts Salt
1 tb Butter
3/4 c Apples, canned/chopped
2 tb Apple juice, concentrated
1 tb Lemon juice
2 tb Honey
1/4 c Yogurt
1 tb Molasses
1/2 c Oats
1 1/2 ts Yeast, fast rise or machine
– or –
3 ts Yeast, active dry

This is a full-bodied oatmeal bread with the added sweetness of
apples and honey. It goes well with smoked meats such as summer
sausage. For something different, try a curried salad filling.

Success Hints
————-

Use unsweetened apples, canned in water. Drain well and chop into
chunks.

Use frozen apple juice concentrate, thawed, with no water added.

Use regular or rapid bake cycle.
