FOR 1 LB LOAF
1 c Milk
1 tb Butter
1 tb Almond paste
1/8 ts Almond extract
2 tb Sugar
1 ts Salt
1/2 c Whole-wheat flour
2 c Bread flour
1 1/2 ts Yeast
1/3 c Dried sour cherries
1/3 c Almonds; chopped

1 1/4 c Milk
1 1/2 tb Butter
1 1/2 tb Almond paste
1/4 ts Almond extract
3 tb Sugar
1 1/2 ts Salt
2/3 c Whole-wheat flour
2 1/3 c Bread flour
2 1/2 ts Yeast
1/2 c Dried sour cherries
1/2 c Almonds; chopped
For all recipes, load ingredients into breadmachine pan according to
manufacturer’s directions. Bake on white bread setting unless otherwise
indicated. “Yeast” refers to active dry yeast. Bake according to
manufacturer’s instructions, adding the cherries and almonds during the
raisin-bread cycle, or five minutes before the final kneading is finished.
