Chewy Spice Cookies

Ingrients & Directions


1 c Packed brown sugar 2 ts Baking soda
3/4 c Unsweetened applesauce 1 ts Ground ginger
1/4 c Molasses 1 ts Ground cinnamon
Egg substitute to equal 1 1/2 ts Ground cloves
-egg Sugar
2 1/4 c Flour

In a bowl, combine brown sugar, applesauce, molasses and egg
substitute until well blended. Combine flour, baking soda, and
spices; stir into molasses mixture. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2″ apart
onto baking sheets that have been lightly coated with nonstick
cooking spray. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10
minutes.

Yields: 3 1/2 dozen

One cookie equals 56 calories, 12 mg sodium, trace cholesterol, 12 gm
carbohydrate, 1 gm protein, trace fat.
