2 pk Yeast
6 c Flour (5 for microwave)
1 tb Sugar
2 ts Salt
2 c Milk
1/4 ts Baking soda
1/2 c Water
Cornmeal

Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and soda. Heat liquids until very
warm (120-130 F). Add to dry mixture; beat well. Stir in rest of flour to
make a stiff batter. Spoon into 2 (non-metal if going in the microwave)
loaf pans that have been greased and sprinkled with cornmeal. Cover; let
rise in warm place for 45 minutes.
Bake at 400 F for 25 minutes. Remove from pans immediately and cool.
OR: microwave each loaf on High for 6 minutes 30 seconds. Allow to rest 5
minutes before removing from pans.
Notes from original poster: The bread won’t brown if you bake it in a
microwave, so don’t be tempted to bake it longer than the specified time.
