Gingerbread

Ingrients & Directions


1/2 c Butter; melted and cooled

-ADD AND BEAT WELL-
1/2 c Sugar
1 Egg

SIFT TOGETHER
2 1/2 c All purpose flour
1 1/2 ts Baking soda
1 ts Cinnamon
1 ts Ginger

COMBINE
1/2 c Light molasses
1/2 c Honey
1 c Hot water

Add the sifted and liquid ingredients alternately to the butter mixture
until blended. Bake in a 9x9x2 inch greased pan at 350F for 25-35 minutes.

NOTES : The original recipe called for this to bake for 1 hour. But that
is much too long. After ours baked 35 minutes it was almost too done. This
can be served with cool whip or ice cream.
