Ingrients & Directions


1 c Drippings or lard
1 c Sugar
1/2 c Molasses
1 tb Baking soda
1 ts Ginger
1 Egg, beaten
pn Salt
Flour

Cream drippings and sugar. Add molasses and egg and beat well. Add
baking soda, ginger, salt and enough flour to make a soft dough. drop
by spoonfuls on greased baking tin. Bake in a moderate oven for 15-20
minutes.

Many of the recipes in this collection did not contain amounts or oven
temperatures. I have typed them in as they appear in the book, typos
and all.
