-FIRST LAYER-
1/2 c Shortening
1 c Sugar
2 Eggs, beaten
1/2 ts Vanilla
3/4 ts Salt
1 1/2 c Pastry flour
-SECOND LAYER-
1 c Brown sugar
1 Egg white
1/2 ts Vanilla
3 3/8 c Chopped nuts
1 tb Cocoa
First Layer Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Last,
sift flour and salt and mix together. Spread even in greased pan.
Second Layer Beat egg white well and fold in sugar and cocoa. Add
vanilla and stir gently. Spread over first layer in pan. Sprinkle
with walnuts. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes. From
