Ingrients & Directions

1 c Soft margarine
1/2 c Confectioner’s sugar
1 ts Vanilla or almond flavoring
Green food coloring
(optional)
2 1/4 c All-purpose flour
1 ds Salt
3/4 c Finely chopped nuts (any
Variety)
Additional confectioner’s
Sugar for outer coating

Thoroughly mix together the margarine, sugar, flavoring, and six or
more drops of food coloring. Gradually work in flour and salt. Add
nuts, and mix well (mixing with your hands) until the dough sticks
together. Chill dough one to two hours.

Using walnut size balls of dough, roll quickly between the palms of
your hands, shaping dough to the size of your little finger. Place on
ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 400 degrees, ten to twelve minutes
until set, but not brown. While warm, roll in confectioner’s sugar.
Cool and roll once more in sugar.
