1 lb Flour
2 Eggs
1 ts Baking powder
2 pt Milk
8 oz Butter
Pinch grated nutmeg
12 oz Sugar
Rind of 1 lemon
2 ts Caraway seeds
(CACEN GNEIFIO) Rub the butter into the flour and add the other dry
ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Beat the eggs. Stir the eggs and milk into the
flour mixture. Bake in a tin lined with greaseproof paper. Bake in a
moderate oven (350/F. or Mark 4) for 30 minutes and then at 300/F. or Mark
2 for a further 12 hours.
